I provide Unique Walking Tours in Jerusalem.
Here are a few itineraries I have guided with much success:
1) Walk the Ramparts of the Old City Walls from Jaffa Gate to Zion Gate, plus a visit to the Armenian museum and a tour the Armenian Convent (but NOT on a Sunday) {no more than 10 people at a time}
2) An indepth study Inside & Outside the Old City from the Ramparts from Jaffa Gate to Dung Gate, including a tour of the Southern Wall Excavations at the end {no more than 10 people at a time}
3) 3,000 years of Jerusalem life along "Ketef Hinnom" including a visit to Mishkenot Sha'ananim (no entrance fees)
4) an exploration in the German Colony of the influence of the German Templers on the history, architecture and life of modern Jerusalem (no entrance fees)
5) See a First Temple period Judahite Palace plus 6 more levels of civilization and then experience the capture of a Jordanian outpost in 1967, all at Kibbutz Ramat Rachel... (no entrance fees)
6) a Jerusalem historical overview at the top of the Mt. of Olives followed by a Traditional Christian Walk down the hill to and including a tour of the Garden of Gethsemane (if on Sunday, without Pater Noster)
7) a walk along the via Dolorosa from Lions Gate to, and including, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre plus a stroll around the nearby Muristan Quarter, finishing up with a tour of the Jaffa Gate area, and an optional visit to the Christ Church museum & compound
8) a tour of Israel's National Monuments, starting at Yad Vashem and Har Herzl and continuing to the Israel Museum, the Knesset Menorah, the Wohl Rose Garden and Supreme Court Building, finishing at Gan Sacher
{this is an all day, quite intensive walking tour... the Yad Vashem portion is under re-development in light of the recent construction there}
I can certainly do other itineraries as requested, as long as I have enough time to prepare properly (make any necessary advance contacts and such) and am always studying on different neighborhoods thinking about how to best organize more such tours. As well, I can easily adjust to the needs of the client.
So, if you have friends or family visiting or just want to give your family a special Friday morning treat - give me a call at 673-8192 or send me a message at suztours@gmail.com. I'll be happy to send you my brochure and to discuss with you all the options.
